Events

The Medical Student Research Program, in conjunction with the College of Medicine and the Landacre Research Honor Society strive to host a variety of events that initiate and enhance quality research experiences. During each academic year, events highlighting research, funding and educational trainings will be announced here. Additionally, occasional announcements about regional and national conferences and symposiums where Medical Students are welcome to present their research will be posted.

- Introduction to Medical Student Research Opportunities & Identifying a Research Mentor Information Session.  General overview of Medical Student Research from the Landacre Executive Board and Director Dr. Ginny L. Bumgardner.  Learn more about how to search for and find a research mentor and project.

- Honorary Co​nsorium Reception, Join the Landacre Research Honor Society, AOA Honor Society and Gold Humanism Honor Society to learn more about each organization and membership criteria. 

 

October 23, 2012. 5:00-6:30pm, 115 Biomedical Research Tower

- Medical Student Research Opportunities Fair, Faculty mentors and lab representatives will be available for medical students to discuss possible research projects. This annual event is the most successful place to find a project.
