Imaging technologies provide critical information for detecting disease, and for staging and therapeutic guidance of controlled drug delivery. Our laboratories are investigating, on the molecular level, multifunctional agents for high-resolution imaging. These new modalities of measurement and imaging allow for greater understanding of cellular function and dysfunction resulting in highly targeted therapies. Researchers utilize state of the art imaging technologies to potentially discover novel treatments for wounds, stroke and ischemic disease, traumatic brain injury, cardiovascular disease, cancer and other diseases.
