TRAUMA FEATURES: cricothyrotomy, articulated mandible, obstructed ear irrigation, oral and nasopharyngeal suctioning, neck articulation with cervical motion monitoring and ability to reduce range of motion, tri-state pupil size, teeth with break away incisors, laryngospasm, difficult (airway) occluder, tongue edema, trismus, jaw thrust, tension pneumothorax/hemothorax, needle decompression (bilateral), flail chest, chest tubes (bilateral), convulsions, sternal and tibial IO access, bilateral peripheral (dorsal vein and antecubital fossa) IV access, central (femoral and jugular) IV lines, bilateral thigh auto-injection sites for medication administration, intracranial pressure and ventriculostomy.
METI ECS Emergency Care Simulator (portable emergency/trauma version of the Human Patient Simulator) - Normal and difficult airway; pulmonary system; cardiovascular system; genitourinary system.  ACLS: airway management and ventilation, chest compression, cardiac arrhythmias and electrical therapy.  Monitor interface allows constant feedback on heart rate and rhythm, blood pressure, O2 saturation, respiratory rate, pulmonary artery pressure and arterial pressure.  TRAUMA FEATURES:  needle decompression of tension pneumothorax, chest tube placement and management.  Disaster Medical Readiness module.
TraumaMan - An anatomical human body form for practicing trauma procedures such as  chest tube insertion, cricothyroidotomy, pericardiocentesis, peritoneal lavage and  intervenous cutdown.
Uro-Scopic Trainer - A versatile model that provides for a range of urological endoscopic techniques and procedures to be acquired in line with a trainees clinical progression: fluid management, insertion, manipulation and removal of instruments, examination of the urethra (urethroscopy), examination of the bladder (cystoscopy), rxamination of the ureters using rigid or flexible instruments (ureteroscopy), stent and guide wire insertion, lithotripsy, and stone retrieval.

Endoscopic virtual reality trainer - Flexible bronchoscopy, upper gastrointestinal flexible endoscopy and lower gastrointestinal flexible endoscopy modules.  The robotic interface provides realistic forces, emulating the feel of the real procedure; virtual-reality patients respond in a physiologically accurate manner; real-time graphics and audio feedback combine with haptic feedback; anatomic models developed from actual patient data provide increasingly challenging anatomy.

Laparoscopic virtual simulator - Laparoscopic surgery virtual reality simulator which allows trainees to get the feel of using the laparoscopic camera within the abdomen.

Advanced Life Support (ALS) Trainers - Mannequin with computer interface that allows
management of pre-determined or “on-the-fly” critical cardiac/respiratory scenarios.  Model allows manual or pad
defibrillation, intubation, assessment of carotid pulse, peripheral lines and chest compressions.  The Heart Simulator can be used as a separate computer/monitor interface for cardiac rhythm recognition and training.

Ultrasoundable Vascular Acess model – Facilitates development of the skills necessary to use ultrasound for guiding vascular access procedures.  Realistic, durable and excellent for developing the hand-eye coordination necessary to guide vascular access procedures or practicing ultrasound system controls.  Contains a branching simulated blood vessel that branches into two vessels off of a common single vessel. Provides positive fluid flow when the vessels are accurately accessed.

Multi-use injection arms - Adult venipuncture through multiple sites; dorsal veins of the hand and the cephalic, cedian, basilica and antecubital veins. Used to simulate intramuscular (IM)/subcutaneous injections and intravenous (IV) infusions.

Joint injection models - For practicing soft tissue joint injection used for treatment of injuries and arthritis.  Palpation techniques and correct placement.

Central line catheterization (ultrasoundable) - Venous catheterization can be practiced at all common sites of the upper torso; subclavical, jugular and basalic veins.

ABG Trainer - Realistic arm with pulse and simulated blood used for training correct placement of needle and how to use the ABG kit correctly

Lumbar spinal tap - Facilitates instruction of the steps involved in the performance of a spinal tap.  Basic landmarks facilitate access to spinal fluid.

Advanced pelvic exam simulator - System components include a female pelvic cavity (mannequin), interchangeable internal anatomy and a laptop Computer Workstation.  System consists of three main learning modes: learning mode (allows learners to practice examination skills and palpations at their own pace with immediate feedback), assessment mode (records the exam results and gives learner and instructor the opportunity to review these results. Instructor may choose to set up the system so that the student cannot see the feedback on the Computer Workstation during the exam), after action review mode (once a given exam is saved, you can view the data in an AAR, which compares the learner’s exam results to a database of more than 700 experienced clinicians and more than 400 novice users).

Ultrasound vaginal model – Accurately mimicks the feel and imaging characteristics of an actual endovaginal exam so trainees can develop and perfect the skills necessary to utilize ultrasound in the clinical environment.  Features and characteristics:  Superb ultrasound imaging characteristics, uterus contains a normal decidual reaction, endometrial stripe, left and right ovaries with follicles.
Advanced Childbirth Simulator – Enables simulation of the normal delivery and provides ability to practice in abnormal and multiple deliveries.
Basic pelvic exam simulator - Simulator combines the ability to demonstrate multiple gynecologic procedures.
Interchangeable male/female catheterization model - Simulates urethral-bladder catheterization.  This model can be used to instruct on the performance of straight or foley  catheter insertion, with fluid return.
Breast Exam Trainer - Used to demonstrate appropriate technique for a breast exam.  Separate breast models allow the learner to detect, through palpation, lumps/ abnormalities that may indicate breast cancer.
Auscultation torso - Six heart sites and five lung sound sites on the anterior surface with ten lung sound locations on the posterior and two midaxillary sites.  12 different simulated heart conditions and 16 different lung conditions available.  Stethoscope is designed so that the trainer and learner can listen simultaneously.
Ear Sim -  Practice examination of the human ear.  Simulates external and internal physical appearance and dimensions.  Ten interchangeable ears can be used to demonstrate different findings on otoscopic examination.

Airway Management Trainer

The trainer provides a realistic representation of human anatomy, tissue and skin. There is an airway model that comes standard with each trainer for demonstration purposes. A multitude of airway applications are available through use of the trainer, including:

• Oral/Nasal intubation
• LMA/Combitube placement
• Correct tube placement (checked by the practical inflation test)
• Demonstration of the Sellick Maneuver and laryngospasm
• Bag Valve Mask practice (BVM)
• Stomach inflation and vomiting
• Visual inspection of lung expansion
• Auscultation of breath sounds

AT Kelly Airway Trainer

The trainer provides airway management for both manual and mechanical devices (oral and nasal). Additional features of the trainer include:

• Oropharyngeal/nasopharyngeal airway insertion
• Manual carotid pulse
• Subclavian cannulation
• Tension pneumothorax decompression
• Abdominal thrust maneuver

Prostate Examination Simulator - The simulator demonstrates the benign stages of prostate cancer. There are four separate prostate glands: one benign pathology and three prostatic carcinomas in varying degrees of development. Diagnosis is made via rectal palpation in stages A-D.
Rectal Examination Trainer - The trainer provides realistic anatomy including buttocks, anus and rectum. This allots for both diagnostic skill development and rectal examination practice. A digital exam of both the prostate and rectum can be performed. Anoscope and proctoscope insertion is an additional feature of the trainer. Further details of the trainer include:

• Five interchangeable prostates: normal, bilateral benign, unilateral benign, bilateral carcinoma and unilateral carcinoma
