The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology began a pilot project to promote a humanistic environment for residents and students to learn and teach. Program coordinator, Dawn Watson, worked with three residents to begin this program which includes a peer-to-peer recognition program that honors residents for their commitment to teaching medical students and peers. The 2010-2011 academic year will see this program expanded to other departments.
