How will I know the status of my application?

 

            You have access to your status 24/7 through a secure status page.  Login in to the status page at         

https://medstar.osumc.edu/index.cfm?action=applicantlogin and enter your AAMC ID number and password.

 

The password formula is:  the FIRST letter of your AAMC LEGAL FIRST

NAME + the LAST 4 digits of your AAMC ID number + the LAST letter of your

AAMC LEGAL LAST NAME + the FIRST 2 digits of your AAMC ID number.


How do I access my status page?


           
Login in to the 
https://medstar.osumc.edu/sis/futurestudents/status2/login.cfm, click on the

appropriate application year, enter your AAMC ID number and password.

 

The password formula is:  the FIRST letter of your AAMC LEGAL FIRST

NAME + the LAST 4 digits of your AAMC ID number + the LAST letter of your

AAMC LEGAL LAST NAME + the FIRST 2 digits of your AAMC ID number.

 

 

How will I know if my status changes?

 

            You will receive an e-mail notifying you that your application status has changed. 

You will see what changed in the Application Status section located in the lower,

left-hand corner of the page.  Specific information about your status is available

by clicking on “View Your Status Details.”

 

            We do not notify you when reference letters have been received.  You are

responsible for monitoring the Application Letters of Reference section located in

the upper, right-hand corner of the status page.

 

 

When will my application file be reviewed?


File review occurs once the College of Medicine Admissions Office has received

your AMCAS application, the Ohio State secondary application, and a valid

MCAT score.

 

 

What is considered a complete application file?

 

            A complete application file consists of your AMCAS application, the Ohio State

secondary application, valid MCAT scores, and at least two academic reference

letters.
