Martha S. Hicks

Martha Hicks is the Director of Medical Center Alumni Affairs. The major focus of her work is in developing new and enhancing current relationships with over 13,000 MD and resident alumni, in addition to the current medical students on campus. Her alumni outreach work includes events, print publications and the web that are vital in keeping alumni connected to the life of the College.

Prior to her alumni role, Martha was employed by the university Admissions Office, where she directed admission/recruitment initiatives for the graduate and professional schools at the university. Martha has a bachelor's degree in social work as well as a master's degree in higher education administration from Bowling Green State University. Email Martha at Martha.hicks@osumc.edu

Jessica Rutan
Jessica Rutan is the Assistant Director for Medical Center Development and Alumni Affairs. In this role, she is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with over 13,000 alumni worldwide. She works specifically on coordinating special events in conjunction with the Medical Alumni Society and Medical Student Alumni Council. Jessica is also involved in alumni communications efforts, and planning all aspects of the annual Reunion weekend, held each fall.

Jessica came to Ohio State in June of 2011 from the University of Cincinnati where she was the assistant director of college relations at the College of Business. Prior to that, she severed as a program coordinator in the office of recruitment at the UC College of Nursing. Jessica earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ohio University in 2008 and her master's degree in professional writing and editing from the University of Cincinnati in 2010. Sabrina Ragan

Sabrina Ragan is the Senior Director of Development for The Ohio State University College of Medicine. In this role, she is involved in the direction and coordination of fundraising strategies for the College of Medicine. Sabrina oversees the efforts to generate support for the College of Medicine among alumni and volunteers.

Sabrina held several positions within Ohio State before joining the College of Medicine Development team. She was most recently the Director of Annual Giving Programs. Previously, she served as director of development for the College of Education and Human Ecology. Sabrina earned her bachelor's degree in marine biology from Spring Hill College. Ryann Eff

Ryann Eff is the Assistant Director of Development for The Ohio State University College of Medicine.  In this role, he participates in the direction and coordination of fundraising strategies for the College of Medicine. Ryann works specifically to develop and implement long and short term plans to secure gifts from alumni, friends, and volunteers in support of the college’s mission, objectives and priorities.

Ryann came to Ohio State in February of 2012 from United Way where he was the development and communications manager in Lenawee County. Ryann earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Adrian College in 2010. Email Ryann at ryann.eff@osumc.edu

Debbie Pond

Debbie Pond is the office associate for the Medical Center Alumni Affairs team. She works closely with Martha Hicks and Jessica Rutan on a daily basis to help meet our charge of alumni and student involvement. Her responsibilities include fiscal duties, event planning, website upkeep and other behind-the-scenes tasks. Email Debbie at deborah.pond@osumc.edu

Sue Frost
Sue Frost is the Assistant Vice President of Development for Health Sciences, where she oversees development and alumni affairs for all of the health science colleges at the Ohio State University.

Prior to joining the Medical Center team, Sue served as senior director of development for the College of Medicine, assistant athletics director for development for the OSU Department of Athletics and the director of development at the Knowlton School of Architecture and College of Engineering at Ohio State. Before working at Ohio State, Frost served as the associate director of development at the University of Florida Levin College of Law and the director of student leadership programs and community service at Ashland University.

Frost earned a bachelor's degree from Tufts University in child development, a masters degree in higher​ education administration from Bowling Green State University and a bachelor's degree in German from Ohio State. Email Sue at sue.frost@osumc.edu
